My name is Amber Hosey and I'll be teaching 2nd grade for the 2023-2024 school year! This will be my third year at Harvey Elementary and I'm so grateful to be a part of this amazing school!
Being a shark is fin-tastic!
I graduated from the Univeristy of South Florida in 2018! Since then I have taught fourth and second grade. Second grade has easily been my favorite grade to teach! I love teaching the foundational skills that students will carry with them throughout their educational journey.
I am beyond excited to meet my upcoming 2nd graders and I know it is going to be a year filled with memories, friendship, and growth!!
ABOUT ME:
I was born in Iceland and somehow made my way to sunny Florida when I was 8 years old. I am very family-oriented and the oldest of 4 sisters. My husband, Tyler, and I recently tied the knot on November 26th, 2022! After being together for over 7 years (and maybe a bit of nagging on my part), I went from Ms. Winterbottom to Mrs. Hosey!
I have a fur child named Aslan. He is a crazy cat who you will hear plenty of interesting stories about! He's always causing trouble around my house!
My favorite things to do are read, write, explore coffee shops, and spend time with my friends and family! I spend a lot of time in downtown Sarasota exploring new areas and trying new foods! My family and I love going to the theatre and watching plays. I am also a HUGE Disney and Marvel fan!
